Registration closes this week! (and some hotel and travel advice)

Written by: George Worlledge26.06.2019

June is looking to end as well as it started (the middle of June was rather wet though) and the registration period for the YES conference will end on 30th June too!

Thank you to those who have registered so far, and especially those who have signed up to run a workshop. If you have not yet signed up, please can you encourage your chosen delegates to do so as soon as possible. If you do not think you will be able to sign up by the end of this week please get in touch with the organising committee by email at yes2019@nao.org.uk and we will see what we can do to facilitate you. Though please be rest assured that if you wish to send delegates and we have space, you will be able to attend!

We understand that some people have had troubles booking their accommodation online. Copthorne Tara Hotel have informed us that the issues occur when you try to book using the code for dates outside the week of the conference (4th to 8th November). If you wish to book the hotel for dates outside of this date range please call the hotel on +44 2079 377211 or email at reservations.tara@millenniumhotels.co.uk .

We have also noticed that some people are planning to leave London on Thursday evening. Please bare in mind that the conference is planned to finish at 5pm on Thursday, and prudent planning allows for about one hour to get to the airport (a bit longer if you are flying from Luton), and the London airports advise that you arrive two hours before your flight. So if you wish to stay to the end of the conference and catch a flight on Thursday evening, our advice is to catch a plane no earlier than 8pm. If you have booked flights before 8pm already, we suggest (begrudgingly) that you leave the conference a little early.

We will be in touch again with all those who have signed up directly with further instructions after registration has close.
